Location & Directions

 

The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design is located on the lush 50 acres of the Kellogg Conference Center campus in Henderson County, 10 miles south of the Asheville Regional Airport. The facility is designed to support conferences and regional meetings, provide multimedia assistance for artists and craft organizations and provide design and delivery of distance learning.

Directions


From Asheville:
Take Interstate 26 east to Exit 40 (N.C. 280 and the Asheville Regional Airport).
Turn right onto N.C. 280 and travel for five miles to the intersection of N.C. 191/Haywood Road.
Turn left onto N.C. 191 and travel 3 miles to light at South Rugby Road
Turn right onto South Rugby Road for 2 miles
Turn left onto Broyles Road, the entrance is a quarter of a mile on the right.

From Hendersonville:
Take U.S. 64 West toward Brevard for 4 miles
Turn right onto Broyles Road and continue 1 mile
The entrance is on the left just before the intersection of Broyles and South Rugby.

The Blue Ridge Parkway winds through the 20 western mountain counties of Western North Carolina This is the birthplace of Appalachian crafts and home to craft schools, centers, museums, and hundreds of individual artists.

The Craft Heritage Trails of Western North Carolina, published by HandMade in America is a guide through this area.
